We wish you all a very happy and healthy new year.
COVID-19 Vaccination Update
If you are aged 18 or over and have had a 2nd dose vaccination at least 3 months ago we have a clinic on Saturday 15th January, please phone the surgery on 0118 973 2678 after 14:40 any day to book an appointment (it is not a walk in clinic). If you have not had any covid vaccination yet and are over 18 you can also book into this clinic.
You no longer need to wait 15 minutes and can leave our building if you feel ok. However, if you have a history of allergies (particularly to other vaccines) or have had an immediate reaction to a previous dose please speak to a nurse at the clinic, you may be advised to wait 15 minutes. You are still advised not to drive for 15 minutes, this is because of the risk of fainting so please either walk to the surgery or get a lift.
For the second dose covid vaccination for 12-15 year olds, we are not vaccinating this age group at the surgery. Approved vaccination sites are now live and sites can be found on the vaccination walk-in site finder. They will also be able to receive their vaccine in school from Monday 10th January.
We are aware that patients are receiving texts and/or emails from the NHS reminding them to have their booster vaccination when they have already had this; unfortunately, this is nothing to do with the Surgery therefore please do not contact us.
We still have a limited supply of flu vaccines at the Surgery, if you are aged over 50 or are in an at risk group you can call us to book an appointment.
Due to the increase in covid booster clinics, we are only able to deal with urgent work and routine checks will need to be delayed whilst we prioritise our work as per the Government guidelines.
We are still experiencing a high volume of demand for our services and it is very disappointing to see an increased amount of patients not turning up for pre-booked appointments which could have been offered to someone else. You can cancel by text, through our website or by calling us.
